Boosting procurement maturity: Upskilling talents to face sustainability and digital challenges

Within the Global Procurement Conference 2023, ProcToGo will present its approach specifically in the session on July 6th afternoon, focusing on the new digital skills required to effectively achieve sustainability goals in procurement.

Professors Corrado Cerruti and Paul Matthyssens will present the challenges faced by procurement professionals and how to overcome these obstacles by resorting to new and additional skills that deviate from past requirements. The concept of procurement maturity will be deepened, and the different transformational changes in the procurement process will be highlighted. The session will conclude with a set of key success factors for future-proof procurement.

The experience of the ProcToGo project in developing learning tools to stimulate upskilling and reskilling of existing staff and motivate future talents will be shared. In particular, It will be explained the functionality and the contents of the e-learning modules on sustainability, digital transformation, supply chain management and procurement developed by the project partners. Finally, conference participants will be given access to these e-learning modules to explore their contents after the conference.

The event is held in Villa Mondragone, a patrician villa in the territory of the Italian comune of Monte Porzio Catone (It lies on a hill 416m above sea level, in an area called, from its many castles and villas, Castelli Romani, about 20 km (12 mi) southeast of Rome, near the ancient town of Tusculum.

The Villa is the representative seat of Tor Vergata University of Rome.
