The University will participate in the project through Nova Information Management School (NOVA IMS), an academic unit created in 1989 as a response to the shortage of experts in the areas of data science, data analytics and information management and also to the growing demand for the use of information systems and technologies. The research center of NOVA IMS has, as a primary objective, to contribute to the advance of the fields of Information Management and Data Science for addressing the problems of our society.

In the area of this proposal, NOVA IMS is focused on the optimization of the business processes of public and private institutions. This is achieved by using state of the art methods from different fields (including artificial intelligence, statistics, and technology adoption) and the expertise of the NOVA IMS’s researchers. These results translate in the possibility for public and private organizations to offer better services to European citizens.
