C3 - Design challenges in digital courses

The third Short-Term Joint Staff Training took place in Madrid on 18, 19, and 20 May 2022, hosted by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Initially scheduled for October 2021, it was delayed until international travels across Europe were again safe, as this activity was designed to be in presence in the recording facilities. of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. To offer a meaningful experience that could lead to a change in the learner’s knowledge and behaviour, this training was both methodological and applied, providing the participants with a direct chance to apply what they were learning at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid studios and allowing them to get familiar with advanced tools and recording infrastructure. Under the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid coaching, the participants discussed how to frame and analyse the best educational content for a blended learning experience.

Participants had a chance to practice the design of e-learning: from the needs, target and task/topic analysis to the definition of learning objectives, sequencing, choice of learning strategies and delivery formats. The knowledge and techniques gained during this training and the previous training meeting were applied by the participants through the recording of educational videos foreseen in the four initial modules of the e-learning course (IO1).
