Global Procurement Conference 2023 - ProcToGo Multiplier Event

Boosting procurement maturity: Upskilling talents to face sustainability and digital challenges

Villa Mondragone (Monte Porzio Catone - Rome), 6 and 7 July 2023

The first multiplier event of the ProcToGo project was hosted by Tor Vergata University of Rome in conjunction with the Global Procurement Conference 2023.

The Conference has been organised by Tor Vergata University of Rome since 2016 as an event where experts from International Financial Institutions and regulatory bodies, policy-makers, economists, engineers, lawyers, and procurers gather for a much-needed debate concerning issues related to innovation, competitiveness, sustainability and regulation in public procurement worldwide. The goal of this edition is to raise awareness for the planetary implications of joint decisions regarding what is purchased, how and for whom in the public domain.

ProcToGo presented its approach specifically in the session on July 6th afternoon, focusing on the new digital skills required to effectively achieve sustainable goals in procurement. After an overview of the project's objectives and activities, Prof. Corrado Cerruti and Prof. Paul Matthyssens illustrated the intermediate results of the project, in particular focusing on the e-learning modules developed by the project partnership. With this regard, the functionality and the contents of the e-learning platform were explained and participants were given access to the platform to explore its contents, also after the event.

The event involved 12 speakers and was attended by stakeholders coming from more than 40 countries.
